One of my spies sent in the following e-mail, and let me just say that my cockles are warm.
Here it is, in it's entirety.
(Nice of her to attatch an e-mail marked "Confidential", no?)

And on that note (no pun intended), this Friday will be my last day at Moravian College. It has been a pleasure working with various members of the college constituency during my 14 years here.

Men and Women of Moravian:
I want to provide you with an update on Moravian's efforts to respond to the financial crisis.
The Finance Committee of the College Board met on Monday, February 9, 2009 to review the recommendations presented by the Senior Staff for the 2009-2010 budget. I shared these recommendations with you during my colloquium address in late January.
On Monday, February 9, 2009, the Finance Committee approved these recommendations after careful consideration and discussion.
Today we have acted upon those recommendations which have to do with personnel actions.
Specifically, we have eliminated six current positions and reduced 4 positions from 12 month to 10 month contracts. All personnel affected by these actions were notified today.
While these types of personnel actions are always difficult, they were made as part of our efforts to reduce our operating budget by $2 million in fiscal year 2009-10 and reducing positions was necessary as a part of this process.
I thank everyone who participated in this difficult process for your assistance.
Christopher M. Thomforde
President

While it's hard to have joy about layoffs in these times, this does warm me a little bit, too. Hopefully that doesn't mean she'll have more time on her hands to bother you. :)

I feel for the others who lost their job, but I think the little bit of Schadenfreude is quite okay. :-)
Let it go Geo....
Schadenfreude may warm your heart cockles (I wonder at the origin of that idiom), but it is ugly to see from afar.
Boy, attaching something that is supposed to be Confidential to a mass e-mail is the kind of thing my Nancy would do too. Our Nancy's really could make succubi together.
Oh happy day!
She probably managed to be annoying to more folks than just you, Geo. Now the chickens have come home to roost for her. There was an informal group called "The Mystic Knights of Nowhere" who had the motto 'It's nice to be nice, try it!" at Antioch College years ago. Too bad she didn't know any of them...
I just finished podcast #42. Seriously? You didn't really have to pay $50,000 and give up your CD's for no actual damage except for a public insult. Oh! Oh! What is this...bizaro world?!

Just finished #42 as well. Wow.
Despite the mildly childish Nancy sucks thing, I think $50K is a bit (and when I say bit, I mean insanely) out of whack.
Ding dong, the witch is... uh, fired.
Seriously, it is a sad day in civilized society when assholes can sue you for stating an opinion.
The point of libel laws is to prevent false factual claims from ruining people's lives, not to make some humourless harpy rich because people don't like her.
