Thing...Thing a Thong

OK- First off- The Premiere Numero Uno First Exclusive Primary Cardinal Podcast is up and available at www.geologicpodcast.com. I think it went pretty ok. Tell me whatcha think. (There's a little promo thingy on the side menu, or HERE in case you want to know what it’s all about.) New casts will be available EVERY WEDNESDAY. Spread the word. Or at least spread something.

Second- I’m in the final stages of getting ready for the Sacramento Body Painting Show. I have a gig with PFA in Atlantic City on Friday night. We finish that job at 2 am. (Yetch, we’re at the Blue Martini Death Trap and Synthetic Drums Parlor. Go here for more on that) then I drive to Philadelphia Airport, and have a 5:45 AM flight. I go to Seattle, then change planes and end up in Sacramento sometime around 12:30 West Coast Time.

I’ve been in heavy training mode for this show for about 5 weeks now, with the final two weeks being the real bear-down time. I think I might have peaked a bit early, seeing as I am having a funk of a time staying focused during my (sometimes) twice daily workouts. Maybe hardcore for FOUR weeks is the way to go next time. Ah well- we learn, we learn… Anyway- In the back of my mind I was always wondering how I was going to be with the whole danglies hangin’ naked thing- and if really being in front of a crowd of strangers would be weird or exciting or what. (I kept telling friends, “I’m not worried about my junk- I’m worried about my abs…”)

Well- I just got an e-mail from Kevin the painter telling me that the Gallery wants me to wear something over my crotchetudenal area. [See Kevin's work here, and see the gallery here]

My first reaction was “bunch of prudes!” but I guess this will be better off in the long run. I was having quite a dilemma wondering who would eventually see photos and video from the session. Friends? FAMILY? Clients? Nephews- nieces? It could be weird having my family’s jewels seeing my family jewels. Anyway. I have to go on-line and find a flesh colored thong-thing that won’t look TOO stupid…as if that even possible.

Lastly- On a COMPLETELY different tangent- Al Franken declared that he’s running for senate today. I checked out his announcement and I have to say that this was one of the most balanced, honest, and downright listenable pronouncements from a politician (or potential politician) I’ve EVER heard. Regardless of what you think politically, his sincerity and clarity is hard to deny. Check it out, and hear why he wants to run for Senate here.
